36‑year‑old Dylan Eldon faces weapons charges after allegedly stashing a firearm in a backpack and fleeing on a bicycle in North York.
Officers responded to a suspicious incident near Yonge Street and Empress Avenue after 1 p.m. on July 24. A man was observed loitering, accessed a firearm from inside his jacket, placed it in a backpack, and left the area on a bicycle.
The suspect was described as a man aged 25 to 40, wearing a black balaclava with a white symbol above the left eye, all black clothing, and carrying a black backpack.
A search warrant was executed at an address in the same area on Tuesday, resulting in the discovery of evidence related to the incident.
Eldon, a Toronto resident, is charged with possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with a probation order.
He is scheduled to appear before the court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
