Naga Munchetty has announced her departure from BBC Breakfast after nearly twenty years on the flagship morning programme.
The 51‑year‑old presenter first joined the show in 2009, becoming a familiar face to listeners and viewers alike.
Starting in January, she will transition to BBC Radio 5 Live, co‑hosting the breakfast slot with the incoming team following the exit of Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards.

The move comes after a formal investigation into allegations of bullying, which included claims about Munchetty’s interactions with colleagues and production staff.
She remained on air while the internal HR inquiry was conducted, maintaining her duties on the morning programme until the transition.
