Manchester City Star Could Join Club in €50m Deal

Manchester City midfielder Rodri is reportedly edging closer to a €50m transfer to Real Madrid, with the Spain international in the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

As Rodri approaches the final stages of his contract, it seems Real Madrid are confident they can land him for a bargain fee of between €40-50m, according to recent reports.

Rodri, a World Cup winner with his country, is a highly sought-after player who would undoubtedly fit into Real Madrid's tradition of signing global superstars, often referred to as 'Galacticos'.

The 30-year-old's signing would also align with the preferences of new Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, who tends to assemble teams with experienced winners.

Rodri would add quality to Los Blancos' squad, particularly as an upgrade on inconsistent performers such as Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, while also providing a sense of continuity alongside recent signings like Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella.

Rodri leaves Manchester City as a club legend and an all-time Premier League great, having enjoyed immense success in his seven seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

During his time at City, Rodri scored 28 goals in 298 games, winning four Premier League titles, the Champions League, and numerous other major honours.

Rodri's playing style was instrumental in Pep Guardiola's tactical set-up, and he will be hard to replace, although Elliot Anderson, who joined from Nottingham Forest this summer, looks like a promising option to take on that role.
