Chelsea and Manchester City have entered into talks to sign 22-year-old Scottish forward Robbie Ure, who has been making waves in the Swedish Allsvenskan with his impressive goal-scoring record.
Ure, a product of the Rangers academy, has been on fire in front of goal for IK Sirius, scoring 15 goals in his last 14 games and a total of 31 in 49 matches since joining from Anderlecht.
The young forward has attracted a long list of suitors, including top clubs from outside the Premier League, such as AC Milan, Napoli, Monaco, Lille, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas.
However, Chelsea and Manchester City are currently the clubs showing the strongest interest in Ure, with sources indicating that they have moved beyond scouting and are now engaged in concrete talks.
Chelsea has a history of identifying and nurturing top young talents, and signing Ure could be a shrewd move in terms of adding depth to their attack.
In the meantime, Ure has expressed his focus on helping IK Sirius achieve a special season, while also acknowledging the interest from bigger clubs.
