An independent inquiry into claims that a lawyer was assaulted by courthouse security officers has found no evidence to support criminal charges.
The incident took place on January 23 at the Superior Court of Justice in Oshawa. Durham Regional Police announced that the lawyer was arrested and charged under the Trespass to Property Act. A separate investigation by York Regional Police concluded that the evidence did not substantiate any charges against the officers involved.
