NYPD Deploys Drones to Catch Subway Surfers

Police officers in New York City have recently used drones to apprehend five teenagers engaged in the dangerous activity of subway surfing. The NYPD posted a message on Facebook stating, "On Monday, drones assisted officers in safely removing five teenagers who were engaged in subway surfing." Police advise that if you come across someone attempting this risky behavior, you should call 911.

As for the latest incident, a 16-year-old girl was seriously injured on July 23rd while attempting to subway surf in Queens, New York. According to witnesses, she climbed onto the top of a subway train but collided with a beam as the train passed under an overhead bridge. Due to the subway system being powered by the MTA, first responders had to wait for the MTA to turn off the power to the third rail so they could reach the girl. Fortunately, she was transported to the hospital with a broken leg.

A charity hockey game involving police and firefighters became a chaotic situation as they engaged in a brawl. The incident took place during a fundraiser event.
