In an effort to tackle the growing crowds, the Dolomites are now considering implementing reservation systems for both drivers and pedestrians who wish to visit the area. This would be part of an overall strategy to manage the influx of tourists and preserve the natural beauty of the region.
According to Carlo Zanella, president of the Alto Adige Alpine Club, the issue has been exacerbated by social media influencers. He expressed his disapproval towards them, stating that their main objective is profit-driven advertising.
Zanella urges visitors to explore lesser-known areas within the Dolomites, emphasizing that there are other equally beautiful spots to explore.
