In light of the ongoing debate concerning gambling regulations in the state, DraftKings' chief executive, Jason Robins, has recently shared his insights.
During an interview with CNBC, Robins addressed Illinois' proposed measure to impose a per-bet tax on major gambling operators to combat problem gambling. He argued that such taxes might drive consumers towards illegal betting platforms or encourage bigger bets.
Robins cautioned that operators might have little choice but to transmit some of those costs to their customers.
