The outage began around 6 p.m. PDT and also affected nearby businesses and Angel Stadium.
City officials said the problem stemmed from difficulties drawing water from several groundwater wells, which supply about three‑quarters of the municipal supply.
Four wells were compromised, prompting a drop in pressure that halted operations at the theme park and other venues.
The issue was resolved by approximately 8 p.m., and officials indicated there was no ongoing concern.
During the outage, access to park restrooms was blocked, leaving some guests surprised and inconvenienced.
One visitor reported being denied entry to multiple bathrooms and described the situation as chaotic, though park staff worked to manage the disruption.
Online comments reflected frustration, with some noting that all restaurants and restrooms were closed and predicting rapid escalation of the problem.
A few guests expressed dissatisfaction and indicated they would seek refunds after leaving the park.
The incident follows a recent water shortage in California that forced the closure of highway rest areas on Highway 101, a restriction expected to remain through early October.
